Over the weekend, Toby’s family accepted the Special Directors’ Award on his behalf at the @nationalcowboymuseum’s Western Heritage Awards. He was recognized not only for his artistry, but for the lasting impact he made as a cultural ambassador sharing the spirit of Oklahoma and the Western way of life with audiences around the world.

On Tuesday, Toby’s family was recognized by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority following the adoption of a resolution to name a new Norman, OK turnpike the “Toby Keith Expressway”. The honor celebrates his life, patriotism, and impact on Oklahoma and the nation, and it was met with a standing ovation on the Senate floor at the hearing last week. Toby never forgot where he came from, and this expressway will help carry his legacy forward for generations to come.

Thirty years later and we’re still wondering…
