Toby Keith's Music Lights Up July

In 2012, Forbes called Toby Keith "country music's $500 million man,” and now the late superstar has reached an audience of two billion in July. Billboard called Keith "the biggest winner" over the Independence Day holiday, as his "skyrocketing" catalog was led by "Courtesy Of The Red, White And Blue (The Angry American)." That song also drove his 35 Biggest Hits into the Billboard 200 Top 10.

As of mid-month, "Courtesy" was No. 2 on TikTok's all-genre Top 50 trending songs, behind only Drake's "Fireworks." The week of July 13, the song hit No. 1 for the second time in its lifespan.

Speaking of TikTok, Keith's catalog has generated 4.2 billion views on the platform to date, including more than 1 billion this July alone. That includes nearly 400 million for "Courtesy" over the past month. Elsewhere, Apple Music released its Apple Music Nashville Session: Toby Keith Covered on July 1, which has already racked up millions of streams.

Upcoming in the world of Toby Keith, EDM pioneer VAVO will release a remixed version of his debut single "Should've Been A Cowboy" on August 1. See VAVO's announcement post here.
