3rd Annual OK Kids Korral Championship Supports Oklahoma's Newest Cost-Free Home For Pediatric Cancer Patients
With The 11th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic event behind them, Toby and team are building up another golf event with a completely different feel. "It's impressive to watch these young guys hit the ball," said Toby Keith. "We think Belmar is a challenging course for them and we like to show them a good time while they're in Oklahoma."
The event kicks off with a Pro-Am party and a Pro-Am tournament the next day. After that, the professionals square off in four rounds of golf with the trophy and purse being presented on the last day. Visitors are welcome to attend the professional play from June 18-21.
The OK Kids Korral Championship is the only professional golf event that benefits The Toby Keith Foundation and OK Kids Korral. "We've opened our doors and our goal is to help as many families as possible," said Juliet Nees-Bright, executive director of The Toby Keith Foundation. The Korral will alleviate some of the financial, physical and emotional toll put on families as they travel
to Oklahoma City for their medical treatments. The mission of the foundation and the Korral is to allow parents and their children to focus on the most important thing - getting well.
In operation since 1994, the Adams Pro Tour, a subsidiary of K&G Sports LLC., partners with local non-profits to conduct professional golf tournaments in the mid-south region of the U.S. In addition to raising thousands of dollars each year for charity, these events provide an avenue for professional golfers to hone their skills while preparing for a life on the PGA Tour.
