Toby Keith will be the featured speaker at the National Press Club
luncheon next week, on the eve of his departure for his seventh USO
Tour of the Persian Gulf. The event will take place at the NPC's
Washington, DC headquarters Tuesday, April 21 at 12:30pm.

Keith's continuing support of America's fighting men and women will
certainly be front of mind for those in attendance, as he will be
honored with a Distinguished Service Award by the Military Officers
Association of America that same day. Recently named the Top Earning
Male Musician by Forbes, Keith could speak to his many business
endeavors, which extend from music to film, restaurants, a new
clothing line and his own record label.

His relationship with the media, which has at times been driven by
controversy, may also be one of the day's hot topics. Keith will also
field inquiries from NPC members in a question-and-answer session at
the conclusion of his remarks.

Shortly after the luncheon, Keith will depart for an 11-day USO Tour
that will include 17 shows and take him to small, forward operating
bases at the front lines of America's overseas military operations.
Keith recently received another meaningful honor for his commitment
to the troops as the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation
presented him its Johnny "Mike" Spann Memorial Semper Fidelis Award.

Meanwhile, Toby Keith's music career continues to gain momentum. His
current single "Lost You Anyway" is climbing the charts in the wake
of his 25th No. 1 single, "God Love Her." Both songs are from his
most recent critically acclaimed album That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy.
BMI recently certified his songs as having received more than 60
million feature performances. And his tours continue to be among the
top-drawing concerts in the world of entertainment.
